The Quibi app reached 1.7 million downloads in its first week after launch.
According to data released by Sensor Tower service, since April 6 Quibi has been downloaded 300,000 times on monday, and 830,000 the following Thursday, in the countries in which the app is available (USA, Canada UK and Germany).
Quibi CEO Meg Whitman has revealed that the number of subscribed users is higher than expected: in addition, during an interview with Bloomberg Television Whitman revealed that it will take about 12 million users to achieve break even.
The Quibi app can be downloaded in a free version, with a 90-day free trial; it has an optimized interface for smartphones and tablets, but in about six months it will also be available on larger screen devices.
