The 73rd edition of the Festival di Sanremo opened yesterday, Tuesday 7 February, reaching a 62.4% share.
The first evening of the Festival della canzone italiana, hosted by Amadeus and Gianni Morandi, was watched by 10,757,000 spectators.
As usual on the Ariston stage, the performances of the competing artists were interspersed with numerous guests, including Roberto Benigni, who opened the evening, Mahmood and Blanco, winners of the 2022 edition, and Chiara Ferragni.
Yesterday evening, fourteen of the twenty-eight artists in the competition premiered their songs and the provisional ranking was drawn up, which sees Marco Mengoni in first position with Due Vite followed by Elodie with Due and Coma_Cose with L’addio.
The Sanremo Festival will be held until Saturday 11 February 2023, when the final will take place.
