EFAD, European Film Agency Directors association, presented the European Solidarity Fund for Ukrainian films at the 73rd Berlinale.
In addition to EFAD, fifteen European ministries of culture, including the Italian Ministry of Culture, and major international film funds participated in the formation of the fund.
The aim of the €1mln fund is to support Ukrainian film workers and encourage international co-productions.
Applications are restricted to film works that are in the development and finalisation phase. The first call for applications is open from 20 February 2023 and will close on 17 March the same year, while the results will be presented during the Festival De Cannes 2023.
