The fourth edition of Luoghi dell’anima – Italian Film Festival, will take place in Santarcangelo di Romagna, Rimini and Pennabili, June 10-17, 2023.
The Festival, between cinema, literature and poetry, aims to promote the values dear to Maestro Tonino Guerra. The brainchild of and under the presidency of Andrea Guerra and the Artistic Direction of Steve Della Casa and Paola Poli, the Festival is in fact promoted by the Tonino Guerra Association.
Five competing titles will compete for the prizes for Feature Films First and Second Works: Romantiche by Pilar Fogliati, Io vivo altrove by Giuseppe Battiston, Piano piano by Nicola Prosatore, Margini by Niccolò Falsetti, and Settembre by Giulia Steigerwalt. All under the auspices of the jury chaired by Andrea Purgatori, along with directors and screenwriters Elisa Amoruso and Francesca Comencini.
In addition, there will also be six special screenings: Mixed by Erry by Sydney Sibilia, Brado by Kim Rossi Stuart, The Eight Mountains by Felix Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch, Nostalgia by Mario Martone, Grazie ragazzi by Riccardo Milani, and Il posto dell’anima by R. Milani.
And finally, there are also four films in the international section-Li Ruijun’s Earth and Dust, Hlynur Palmason’s Godland-In the Land of God, Marie Amiguet and Vincent Munier’s The Snow Panther, and Andrei Tarkovsky and Tonino Guerra’s Travel Time.
Special attention there will be for the Emilia Romagna selection, financed by the Emilia-Romagna Film Commission with the presentation of four feature films – Evelyne tra le nuvole by Anna Di Francisca (filming location), Acqua e Anice by Corrado Ceron, Redenzione by Maria Martinelli, Amusia by Marescotti Ruspoli – and 2 shorts, Miya and Jin by Gian Marco Pezzoli, In famiglia by Giorgio Diritti.
Protagonists of the evening, among others, Ferzan Ozpetek, Noemi, Pupi Avati, Luigi Lo Cascio, Riccardo Milani, Carmen Yanez Sepùlveda, Caterina Caselli, Noemi, Omar Pedrini, Tosca, Rossana Luttazzi.
