The sixth edition of Filming Italy Sardegna Festival will be held from 22 to 25 June at Forte Village in Cagliari. Conceived and directed by Tiziana Rocca, the event will be held in collaboration with APA – Association of Audiovisual Producers, under the patronage of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, the municipality of Cagliari, the Costa Smeralda consortium and with the collaboration of Forte Village.
Exceptional parterre for the 2023 edition, starting with the Festival’s ambassador, Hollywood actress Rosario Dawson, who will also star in Ahsoka, the Disney+ series to be released in August, based on one of the best-loved Star Wars characters. The Honorary President will instead be Richard Gere and actress Francesca Chillemi will take on the role of godmother of the event.
The Iranian athlete Nasim Eshqi will receive the Filming Italy Sardegna Woman Power Award and during the course of the event there will be prominent guests such as French actresses Emmanuelle Béart and Clotilde Courau, Claudia Gerini, Paola Cortellesi, Ilenia Pastorelli, Gabriele Lavia, Matteo Garrone, Martina Stella, Sergio Rubini, Lodo Guenzi and many others.
“We have selected for these five hectic days a list boasting more than fifty titles including films, documentaries, shorts and television series, both international and Italian, of absolutely different genres, precisely in order to please the widest possible slice of the public, but always aiming at the highest quality, and many of these will be screened at the festival as world premieres,” Tiziana Rocca remarked.
