The call for applications for the first 2023 edition of Lazio Cinema International, promoted by the Regione Lazio, has been published. It allocates 5 million euros, half of which is reserved for audiovisual works of regional interest.
Applications can be submitted through GeCoWEB Plus from 12 noon on 21 June 2023 until 6 p.m. on 20 July 2023.
The call is aimed in particular at small and medium enterprises and producers of cinematographic, television or web works, in order to strengthen and improve the competitiveness of the companies and their supply chain, also through a more intense collaboration with foreign producers.
Increasing the international visibility of Lazio tourist destinations remains another of the aims of the notice. In this regard, particular reference is made to the places of artistic and cultural value that are today more marginalised with respect to Rome, seeking to strengthen and improve the competitiveness of the tourism sector.
The funds allocated, in the form of a non-repayable contribution, may amount to up to 50% of the costs incurred, with a maximum of EUR 500,000.
