Research by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti commissioned by Anica, reveals that the Italian market for audiovisual productions is growing and has an increasingly global dimension, as a result of the digital revolution that has reduced geographic distances, attracting investment from large foreign companies.
They are the ones driving the sector’s growth; it is estimated that between 2014 and 2021, the value of European audiovisual production has grown by more than 60 percent, and every euro invested in audiovisual productions generates more than three times as much in value to be distributed throughout the Italian supply chain.
The growth of the market, which attracts foreign investment and creates jobs, is short of human capital and will need to find 50 thousand new professionals, mainly technicians, in the coming years.
