Amazon Prime Video has presented its new original Italian products, the line-up includes shows starring Carlo Verdone, Tiziano Ferro, and Carlo Cracco.
Here in Italy we’re focused on making great Original shows specifically for our local Prime members and we’re so excited to announce these three new Italian Amazon Original productions,” Georgia Brown, Director of European Amazon Original. “We have lots of more exciting ideas in development with Italian producers, writers, directors and acting talent,” added Brown. “We are working on premium TV productions in Italy and there will be plenty more in the coming months as we continue our commitment to invest in production in Italy.”
“I am very happy and proud to start this new creative adventure with my producers Aurelio and Luigi De Laurentiis and with Amazon, a platform that will allow me to explore a new language,” said Carlo Verdone. Set in Rome, produced by Aurelio and Luigi De Laurentiis with their company Filmauro, this 10-episode show will start production in 2020.

Dinner Club is an unscripted cooking travelogue and sees Michelin starred chef and TV personality Carlo Cracco and six famous Italian actors and comedians travel around the world to Japan, Vietnam, France, Spain, Peru and Mexico to discover exotic cuisine and learn from the world’s best chefs, in order to create a perfect dinner for guests appearing on the show. Dinner Club is produced by Banijay and will launch exclusively for Prime members in 2020. It won’t be a classic cooking show, said Fabrizio Ievolella, Chief Executive Officer, Banijay Italia: “Irony and adventure define the tone-of-voice of the program, halfway between a trip and a classic dinner with friends: a varied and brilliant cast that renews itself every episode, led by the authoritative Chef Cracco. Together they will discover the best of international food, in a lively exchange of ideas and culinary pleasures”.
