The second report on national audiovisual production was presented today on the second day of MIA 2020.
The report identifies the situation of the national and European audiovisual market in the two-year period 2019-2020, and contains forecasts for 2021.
The report was presented by Giancarlo Leone, President of APA, who opened a discussion which was attended by some of the main operators in the audiovisual market, including Fabrizio Salini, CEO of Rai; Nicola Maccanico, Executive Vice President Programming of Sky Italia; Eleonora Andreatta, Vice President of Netflix’s Italian Original Series.
The speakers focused on two topics several times: how the tax credit granted by MiBACT was of essential support to businesses during the pandemic period; how it is desirable that it be renewed for 2021; and the need to block the withdrawal from the proceeds of the RAI license fee.
