Audiovisiva is online. A new educational streaming platform based on Tvod model (Transactional Video On Demand) for documentaries about protagonists of the Italian culture of XX and XXI century.
The project aims to be widely distributed and gives legal access to Italian culture. Furthermore, it supports the cultural documentary industry. All movies can be streamed worldwide on Audiovisiva thanks to Tvod model. Actually, the multichannel distribution without territorial restriction is made possibile by Audiovisiva Store and third streaming platform such as iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Video, Video on Demand and Kanopy. Audiovisiva’s library counts more than 300 documentaries and offers a complex vision of the non fictional cultural heritage by making available online movies.
Audiovisiva is currently the only Italian company admitted as a member of Eurovod, european independents VOD platforms network and first Italian aggregator due to Kanopy platform, a cultural project.
The strong educational nature of Audiovisiva offers a streaming service aimed not only to schools and universities whom can buy packs for students and teachers. Also some professional figures such as researchers, expert and museum curators have access to an Italian cultural map browsing through the categories like art, architecture, design, photography and “making of” movies. Among the main available titles a collection of unreleased documentary about Carlo Scarpa restoration projects, award-winning Francesco Clerici‘s movie filmed in Fonderia Battaglia in Milan during the realization of Velasco Vitali‘s bronze sculptures. There is no shortage of milestone such as behind the scenes of Luchino Visconti’s set photographed by Mario Tursi or listening to photography experts like Gabriele Basilico and Gianni Berengo Gardin.
