Excellent box office debut for the fourth chapter on Odin’s son Thor: Love and Thunder, which grossed € 4,916,464 in its first few days in Italian theaters and globally debuted with $302 million at the box office. We will see if in the coming weeks it will be able to match or surpass the monstrous take of Ragnarock, which came in at the end of its run with nearly $854 million globally.
Second place in the weekly top ten belongs to Elvis, which loses the top spot by recording a gross of € 417,056 for a total of € 2,038,036. On the last step of the podium resists the great performance of Top Gun: Maverick, which thanks to word of mouth manages to earn another € 331,309 reaching a total of € 10,945,414 with more than a month of programming.
Instead, it is € 196,500 the weekly box office of Jurassic World: Dominion, which reaches € 7,433,150, pegging it in fifth position in the calendar year ranking, just below Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
Fifth position for the animated film Lightyear, which registers € 179,910 in its fourth week of programming with a total of € 2,214,068. In sixth position we find animation again, but this time in Japanese sauce, with the re-release of Hayao Miyazaki’s masterpiece Spirited Away, which gains € 163,881 reaching € 266,830 in ten days.
The horror film Black Phone loses two positions from last week recording € 107,820 and coming in at a total of € 623,851. Debut in the eighth position is anything but sparkling for the comedy Una boccata d’aria, which grossed € 40,269 at the box office in its first few days, while Nostalgia, now at the end of its run, holds out in the top ten with another € 26,082 reaching a total of € 1,317,097.
Finally, in tenth position we find La mia ombra è tua, which loses two positions compared to last week, grossing € 25,587, for a total result of € 76,573.
