A Haunting In Venice, The third chapter of detective Hercule Poirot adventures gains first place in the weekly Box Office rankings with a takings of 2,995,627 euros, dethroning Oppenheimer after four weeks. Nolan’s latest film, still on the podium, drops to second place with an earnings of 1,593,236. euros. In third place with 1,073,464 euros we find the sequel The Nun 2.
In fourth position Gran Turismo achieved a profit of 1,016,851 euros just five days after its release in theaters. Based on a true story, the film traces the events of a boy Jann Mardenborough, a British gamer who, thanks to a competition organized by Nissan for the best Gran Turismo players, manages to realize his dream of becoming a car racing driver. The cast includes well-known faces such as Orlando Bloom, David Harbour, Darren Barnet and Archie Madekwe.
Oscar nominee for best international film The Captain by Matteo Garrone has a weekly earnings of 876,527 euros, dropping to fifth place. Following with 468,736 euros Expend4bles fourth title of the popular action film saga written by Sylvester Stallone, which since 2010 has followed the events of an international band of mercenaries The Expendables. Released in theaters on September 21st, it is the first film in the series without Terry Crews and Arnold Schwarzenegger in their respective roles of Caesar and Trench.
Micaela Ramazzotti’s feature film directorial debut Felicità ranks seventh with earnings of 266,839 euros. Alongside the actress-director we find Max Tortora, Anna Galiena, Matteo Olivetti and Sergio Rubini. The film presented in competition at the 80th Venice International Film Festival in the Orizzonti Extra section won the Spectators Award.
The last three positions are reserved for Barbie which does not give up its place in the top 10, with earnings of 169,425 euros, followed by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem with 168,054 euros and Jeanne Du Barry The King’s Favorite with 153,147 euros.
