In the weekly chart, the Christmas atmosphere is felt starting at the top where the fairy tale of “Wonka,” the prequel that explains how Willy Wonka, a character invented by Roald Dahl, becomes a chocolate producer, pops up.

Just released, the film earns € 3,123,269 over the weekend, and ousts “There’s Still Tomorrow,” which does not give up the podium of the top ten and from third place continues to grind out results: it surpasses Barbie in admissions and is preparing to overtake it in box office, having reached this weekend a total box office of € 30,591,971.

Another new entry in the ranking is Francesco Amato’s “Santocielo,” starring Ficarra and Picone, which is in second place with a gross of € 1,298,766.

In fourth place we find Michael Mann’s “Ferrari,” a biography of the tycoon who founded the car company of the same name, which earns € 854,795, followed by Woody Allen’s “A Stroke of Luck,” which falls one position from last week (€ 495,414), and “Take Flight,” the animated family film, which loses three positions and comes in sixth place (€ 472,198).

In seventh position, we find Ridley Scott’s “Napoleon,” which with a weekly gross of € 426,264 reaches € 7.5 million.

Another weekly debut is Stefano Sollima’s “Adagio,” starring Pierfrancesco Favino, Valerio Mastandrea and Toni Servillo, which is in eighth place with a weekly gross of € 389,864, followed by another Italian title “La Chimera” by Alice Rohrwacher, which in its fourth weekend grosses € 159,755 and reaches € 615,027.

Closing the top ten is “Hunger Games – The Ballad of the Nightingale and the Snake,” which earns € 128,434 this week and after a month in theaters reaches a total of € 5,548,345.
