A podium that is affected by the Halloween atmosphere with The Exorcist – The Believer, the sixth film in the saga, in first place with a gross of € 1,028,724 and A Haunting in Venice, with a Kenneth Branagh’s Hercule Poirot grappling with a séance, earning this week € 561,080 and the bronze medal. From second place Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour, the concert film released in theaters Oct. 13, lightens the climate of the chart and, just released, grosses € 746,531.
In fourth and fifth place are two films both released on Oct. 12, respectively Luc Besson’s Dogman, which earned € 462,271, followed by Italy’s L’ultima volta che siamo stati bambini, Claudio Bisio’s first directorial effort, which directs the film adaptation of Fabio Bartolomei’s novel of the same name, and grosses € 448,704 in just a few days. Close behind is Talk to Me, a 2022 thriller released in theaters on September 28, 2023, which settles in sixth place with earnings of € 440,790.
Two other Italian titles in seventh and eighth place: Leone d’Argento at the last edition of the Venice International Film Festival, Io capitano by Matteo Garrone, which grosses € 360,444, and Volevo un figlio maschio, a comedy by Neri Parenti starring Enrico Brignano, which earns € 326,417. In ninth place is the Canadian animated film PAW Patrol – The Supermovie, which earns € 321,526, while Asteroid City, Wes Anderson’s latest film, which was released in September, closes the top ten with a gross of € 306,311.
