Oppenheimer, for the fourth consecutive week, is still at the top of the chart, with a gain of €2,185,522. Nolan’s film is followed by A Haunting in Venice, released on 14 September in cinemas, which grossed €2,029,066. The film, a screen adaptation of the 1969 novel Poirot and the Massacre of the Innocents by Agatha Christie, is the third of the series directed and starring Kenneth Branagh, after Murder on the Orient Express (2017) and Death on the Nile (2022). Dropping to third place instead is The Nun 2, with a weekly take of €1,982,517.
Matteo Garrone’s latest film Io Capitano, in its second week in cinemas, climbs from seventh to fourth place in the chart and earns €638,459, followed by the costume film starring Jhonny Depp as Louis XV, Jeanne Du Barry, which is in fifth place, grossing €279,423. In sixth place we find The Equalizer 3, which earns €250,702. Greta Gerwig’s success, Barbie, does not leave the chart, coming in seventh place and grossing €237,637 this week.
At the last positions in the ranking, we see in order Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, Haunted Mansion, with respective earnings of 209,211 euros and 154,471 euros, and lastly Enzo Jannacci – Vengo Anch’io, a biographical documentary film dedicated to the singer-songwriter, directed by Giorgio Verdelli, which grossed 127,718 euros.
