Canadian film distributor Mongrel Media has acquired rights for Vladimir de Fontenay’s Mobile Homes, ahead of the screening on May 21 for Directors’ Fortnight of Cannes Film Festival. The film was a project selected for MIA|Cinema Co-production Market 2015 and it tells the story of a young woman (portrayed by actress Imogen Poots) and her eight-years-old son trying to find a shelter in a trailer park while escaping from their past. Actors Callum Turner and Callum Keith Rennie also in the cast.
Film is produced by Frédéric de Goldschmidt for Madeleine Films, along with Eric Dupont of Incognito Films and Mike MacMillan of Lithium Studios Productions. Deal has been signed by producers and Mongrel Media International’s Charlotte Mickey (MIA|Cinema Board member).
