Rome, October 18, 2017 – Once again this year, the Carlo Bixio Award has the honor to receive the Medal from the President of the Republic as a sign of his representation.
The RTI, who is financing this sixth edition, has decided that this year the award will be split into two categories – Best Screenplay and Best Concept for a TV Series – which will be chosen from the projects submitted by authors under the age of 30. The winners will be awarded €10.000 and €5.000, respectively, as well as a contract with a broadcaster.
In addition to these two awards, the SIAE (Italian Society for Authors and Publishers) which has supported the award since 2013, will award the special plaque “Targa SIAE Idea d’Autore” and €3.000 to the best original concept.
The jury presided by Gabriella Campennì Bixio and composed of Francesca Galiani (RTI), Leonardo Ferrara (RAI), Ivan Cotroneo, Graziano Diana and Francesco Vicario has gathered over the past few days in order to decide the three winners. The order of the awards will only be disclosed during the award ceremony which will take place on October 22nd during MIA, the International Audiovisual Market.
These are the three projects and the names of the authors listed in alphabetical order:
- “77” by Giuseppe Checchia and Elia Gonella
- “Dante” by Angelica Farinelli, Lorenzo Righi and Gregorio Scorsetti
- “Vera sul treno” by Isabella Cirillo
