Cinema2Day ends with high numbers, as reported by minister Dario Franceschini: ” on the last day, our initiative brought over 600 thousand people to cinemas, especially young people and families who have found out again the magic of cinema theatres”.
Franceschini announced the end of the initiative – prolonged last February for three months and now definitely concluded – through a tweet:” Unfortunately I did not succeed in convincing tradespeople, producers and distributors to pursue the initiative. I’m sorry”. According to a Mibact note, Cinema2Day has brought up to one million viewers to cinema theatres in one single day, as it happened onpeakdays registered in January.
