Eight films have been selected at C EU Soon, the film work-in-progress program dedicated to European films in post-production looking for international sales agents at the MIA.
The 2023 C EU Soon finalists (among them, two debuts and two sophomores) have been chosen by an international selection committee composed of Aranka Matits, founder of Featurette, Jaume Ripoll, co-founder and editorial director of Filmin, and Pape Boye, founder of Black Mic Mac.
The selected films will be presented before an audience of sales agents, distributors, and professionals, followed by sessions of one-on-one meetings.
The films compete for the Screen International Award, consisting of a dedicated press coverage on Screen International.
The final selection shows the vitality of European cinema, balanced between more established and renowned filmmakers and producers and new talents working on their debut or second feature.
