Presented at MIA|What’s Next Cinema 2017,Laura Bispuri’s Daughter of Mine won the contest “Golden Anchor” dedicated to the Balkan and Mediterranean cinema.
A successful outcome for Daughter of Mine in Haifa, the movie by Laura Bispuri starring Alba Rohrwacher and Valeria Golino. The film won the contest “Golden Anchor” at the 34th Haifa International Film Festival. The jury has praised the naturalism of the script and protagonists’ interpretations which allowed the audience to experience a vivid and realistic frame of a family without labels. Produced by Vivo Film, Colorado Film and Rai Cinema, Daughter of Mine has been distributed in Italy by 01 Distribution.
Acclaimed by the critics during the Berlinale, Daughter of Mine achieves an important goal for Italian cinema. The award was collected by Gianluigi Benedetti, the Italian ambassador in Israel.
