David Stefano Moscato, Kobalt Entertainment’s CEO, presented at the “Arts and Culture” Pitching Forum of MIA | Doc 2016 the project Il Club dei 27 (The 27 Club) directed by Mateo Zoni. The film is about Giuseppe Verdi’ life and it follows an 11 years old opera-loving child who wishes to join an exclusive club whose members are called as the titles of the works of the famous composer. A film between fiction and reality, produced by Kobalt Entertainment, Malia Film, Istituto Luce Cinecittà and by RAI Cinema associated producer.
Moscato is satisfied by his experience at MIA, an event that he considers a great occasion for independent producers: “the access to a high-end audience, composed of national and foreign players and a specific attention to the networking: it’s all been a great news. Before MIA, in Italy, there was a gap in the audiovisual field”.
In relation to the documentary, Moscato said: “doc’s tradition in Italy is very high-profile and it should be more promoted by institutions. MIA supports and adds value to this field, which is equalized to cinema and tv series”
