The Council of Ministers approves the ‘Decree Law Supports’ and allocates €111.5 million to culture in 2022.
As reported in the press release of the Italian Ministry of Culture, the measure increases for the year 2022 € 50 million for the current part and € 25 million for capital interventions funds for the emergencies of entertainment, cinema and audiovisual, while the Emergency Fund for cultural enterprises and institutions, intended to support bookstores, the entire publishing industry, as well as museums and other institutes and places of culture, is increased by € 30 million, also for the year 2022.
Culture Minister Dario Franceschini said: “The culture sector is one of the hardest hit by the pandemic. Music and entertainment, in particular, are struggling to restart, while the fourth wave has once again caused difficulties for cinemas. This is why the government continues to support all these realities, allocating 111.5 million euros in 2022.”
