New research by Digital TV Research entitled SVOD Forecasts Update predicts global SVOD revenues to rise to $124bn by 2028.
Digital TV Research expects global industry revenues to increase by $25bn compared to the $99bn in 2022.
This research is in line with recent increases in catchment areas recorded on various SVOD platforms, including Paramount+.
The country that will see the largest increase in this timeframe will be the US with $5bn followed by China with $1bn.
According to the analysis, the platform with the most revenues in 2028 will remain Netflix, which will retain 31.7% of revenues or $32bn, followed by Disney+ with 14.2% and Paramount+ at 7.2%.
