June 1967: nine Israeli soldiers fighting in the Six Days War are crossing the Sinai desert with their tanks when, unexplicably, time starts to flow backwards and the soldiers find themselves back in 1942, in the middle of World War II, after the El Alamein battle during which the men of the Nazi division Afrika Korps were defeated. The Israeli profoundly upset the course of history and when they return, still unexplicably, in ’67, they find the world to be radically changed: the balance of power has changed, Israel has never existed and their own lives put to the question, since technically it seems they were never born.
