Eagle Pictures, the group present in every segment of the audiovisual business, enters the entertainment industry, acquiring control of Blue Yazmine, a company founded by Ilaria Dallatana and Francesca Canetta and active in unscripted production.
This business transaction allows Eagle Pictures to expand into a new sector, through the control of a company that has quickly become a reference point for the market. As Tarak Ben Ammar, the group’s main shareholder and chairman, explains to Il Sole 24 Ore, “For us, the acquisition of Blu Yazmine represents an opportunity to expand the business in an audiovisual market that is growing and offers possibilities for development. By completing our offer with unscripted we want to strengthen even more our positioning as a ‘major’ that produces and distributes by dialoguing with all audiovisual realities.”
From the point of view of Blu Yazmine, which in 2022 recorded a production value of 12.2 million euros and a profit of 388.5 thousand euros, the acquisition, on the other hand, is a way to strengthen itself, says Ilaria Dallatana, former director of Rai 2 and Magnolia: “In this way we aim to have stronger shoulders for the development of the reality that Francesca Canetta and I founded in 2020, at a time when we felt there would be a market for good ideas. And fortunately that was the case.”
Titles produced by Blue Yazmine include “Quelle Brave Ragazze” and “Chi vuole sposare mia mamma” for Sky, ” Back to School’ for Mediaset, “Cash or Trash” and “Tailor Made’ on Discovery and Real Time, respectively.
