Streaming in Europe is in strong development even after the pandemic. This is revealed in the report “State of Streaming Europe – Q2 2020” by Conviva.
The second quarter of 2021 records a growth in its consumption of 19% compared to the previous year. The largest increase is in Western Europe with 32% and Northern Europe with 23%.
Connected TVs are the winners with a 32% of the overall viewing time in the comparison between the most used devices to enjoy streaming services. After them, desktops and tablets remain the most used solutions with a percentage of 14% and 11% respectively.
The increased quality of streaming is important in this multimedia profile. Errors in the start-up of the videos are reduced by 12% and the image gaines quality for all devices with an overall bitrate raise of 43% in the continent.
