The fourth edition of the Genova Reloaded Film Festival will take place from 19 to 25 June 2023. A week of films, previews, screenings, events and meetings with directors and actors, together with a National Feature Film Competition that will take place in the three venues of the Circuito sul Mare in the Sturla gardens, the Arena Ducale and the Sivori cinema, in Genoa.
The artistic direction of Genova Reloaded is entrusted to Giorgio Viaro and Alessandro Giacobbe who have selected the best Italian films of the year, including numerous guests, 15 films over seven days, three special events and a concert.
The festival is produced by Alesbet and Circuito Culturale Carignano, and is organised by Circuito with the support of Academy Two, in collaboration with Genova Palazzo Ducale, Europa Cinémas – Creative Europa Media, and with the patronage of Rai Liguria and Regione Liguria. Among the guests of this fourth edition will be Zerocalcare, who will participate in a special event dedicated to “Animal House”, the John Landis film starring John Belushi, which returns to the cinema after 40 years thanks to Academy Two, Alessandro Gassmann and Pierfrancesco Favino.
Another section that will be added to the Concorso Nazionale will be “Cortocircuito”, which takes its name from the group of young cinephiles, creators of two festivals entitled Amore senza contatto and Non ho l’età, who will propose their own section of four films: The Eight Mountains by Felix Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch, Siccità by Paolo Virzì, Margini by Niccolò Falsetti and Nostalgia by Mario Martone.
On 25 June, Pierfrancesco Favino will meet the audience and present his latest work, L’ultima notte di Amore by Andrea Di Stefano, during the final evening, which will be held at the Circuito sul mare in Sturla.
