The Gormiti, the successful franchise that has entered the hearts of kids since 2005 is about to become a live action produced by Igino Straffi, father of the Winx, with Rainbow, together with Giochi Preziosi. Ideal settings for the new TV series are the Frasassi Caves, the karst site in the territory of Frasassi, the striking Madonna di Frasassi sanctuary set in the rock, the Romanesque Abbey of San Vittore delle Chiuse and the Scappuccia Valley.
Mayor of Genga Marco Filipponi said, “The new television series Gormiti-the new era, in addition to representing an ‘important opportunity for the promotion and enhancement of our immense natural heritage, aims to raise awareness among young people on issues of environmental protection with positive messages and educational values, which has always been one of the main objectives of the activities put in place by the Municipality of Genga and the Frasassi Caves Consortium. We are very pleased with this new collaboration, we thank Igino Straffi and Rainbow for the opportunity given and wish the production great success.”
The series is scheduled for release in fall 2024 and will consist of twenty episodes shot in English. The main cast includes international actors such as Millie Fortunato Asquini (Skye – Scion); Federico Cempella (Zane – Scion); Robel Araya (Glen – Scion); Francesco Bertozzi (Carter – Scion); and Claire Palazzo (Myridell).
