The Ibero-American Aid Fund of IBERMEDIA, established in 1997, aims to promote the creation of an Ibero-American audiovisual space in its member states. The programme intends to promote the co-development of feature film projects destined for the market, particularly the Ibero-American market, by encouraging the development of production companies.
The Fund is currently recognised by twenty-two CAACI member and observer countries that finance the Programme: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia,Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Italy (invited country), Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Spain, Uruguay and Venezuela.
The Programme’s Intergovernmental Council, composed of film authorities elected by the Member States, has decided to focus its action on three aid modalities:
- Support for the co-production of Ibero-American films.
- Support for the co-development of Ibero-American feature film projects and series.
- Support for training programmes aimed at Ibero-American and Italian audiovisual professionals.
Applications can be submitted no later than 11:59 a.m. on 25 April 2022.
