Infinity launches Infinity Lab, the laboratory which promotes independent filmmakers’ talent. The initiative aims to select up to 10 original projects (documentaries, journalistic investigations, reportages) with commercial prospects. The selected projects will participate in a crowdfunding campaign, will be co-financed by Infinity and distributed on the streaming platform. The deadline for submitting projects is October 1st, 2019.
The laboratory consists in four categories: Documentary, Journalistic investigation, Docu series and Docu film. For each project the title and the poster must be presented, in addition to details about the project’s duration, the director and the cast. In order to be eligible, the projects must be based on a new and original idea and they mustn’t include product placement or advertising.
Moreover, the project’s budget must be indicated: in order to obtain the co-financing from Infinity, the project must raise 50% of the budget with the crowdfunding campaign. The crowdfunding campaign will last 60 days, after which, if the project raise the target 50% of the budget, Infinity will co-finance the remaining 50% of the budget.
Projects must be submitted on Produzioni Dal Basso website within October 1st, 2019. R.T.I. Reti Televisive Italiane and Produzioni dal Basso will evaluate the projects on the basis of their content, originality and commercial prospects.
Infinity launches Infinity Lab this year, after the success of past calls for crowdfunding (Infinity Life and Infinity Games). “Pugni Chiusi”, a docu film on prisoners’ social redemption through boxing, was co-financed by Infinity and will be available soon on the streaming platform.
