Cristina Priarone (Director of Roma Lazio Film Commission) has been elected President of the Italian Film Commissions (IFC). The two Vice-presidents will be Luca Ferrario, director of Trentino Film Commission, and Paolo Manera, director of the Film Commission Torino Piemonte, as members of the new IFC coordination.
Cristina Priarone has pointed out: “The Film Commissions now have a recognized strategic role: the Regional Funds, international promotion, training, growth of the audiovisual sector and territories, find in them efficient and dynamic levers of development, the associative dimension of IFC strengthens their effectiveness and synergy. The specific territorial identities are strengthened in a systemic context, the global challenges of the audiovisual sector require a collegial spirit between the territories, constructive dialogue with the Institutions, Administrations and Trade Associations, in order to continue to attract international operators to Italy.”
The next appointment of Italian Film Commissions will be at the European Film Market, within the Italian Pavilion, an institutional space created with the contribution of MiBACT, ICE AGENCY, ISTITUTO LUCE and the organizational support of ANICA.
