The Italian Ministry of Culture has released the guidelines for the submission of applications to support co-productions between Italy and the Baltic States.
As indicated by the General Directorate for Cinema and Audiovisual, the Fund is aimed at film projects in co-production between Italy and the Baltic States (Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania) with a duration of more than 52 minutes and intended for initial distribution in cinemas. Specifically, the resources allocated for the year 2021 for the development of co-production projects amount to € 30,000, of which € 15,000 made available by the DGCA of the MiC and € 15,000 by the EFI (Estonia Film Institute), the NFCL (National Film Centre of Latvia) and the LFC (Lithuania Film Centre) respectively.
In order to benefit from the contribution, cinematographic works must include, on the one hand, at least one producer with legal headquarters in Italy and, on the other, at least one producer with legal headquarters in one of the Baltic States.
The application can be submitted electronically to dg-ca.bandi-cosviluppo@mailcert.beniculturali.it until January 20, 2022.
