UK broadcaster ITV is seriously considering the possible acquisition of All3Media from Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) and Liberty Global.
All3Media has over 50 production companies, including Studio Lambert, Objective Media Group, Silverback Films and Lime Pictures, with a presence in the UK, US, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and New Zealand.
Nine years ago there was the acquisition of the company by Discovery and Liberty Global through a $930 million joint-venture deal. Rumours about the possible sale of All3Media, which had revenues of £866.6m in 2021, began to spread after the announcement of the merger between WarnerMedia and Discovery.
“There is no certainty as to whether a transaction will take place, or the terms of that transaction. A further announcement will be made if and when appropriate”, reads a letter from ITV to shareholders, confirming the possibility of an acquisition.
ITV Studios has already acquired more than 60 production labels in 13 countries, including the UK, US, Australia, France, Germany, the Nordic countries, Italy and the Netherlands.
