The Lucana Doc call for contributions for the production of documentaries launched by the Lucana Film Commission opened on 19th October 2023.
The fund was presented during the ninth edition of MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo during the panel Lucana Film Commission presents : LET’S TELL THE BASILICATA : CALL FOR PROPOSALS ” LUCANA DOC”.
The call for proposals has a total budget of €1,000,000. Documentary projects, be they docufilm, docu-fiction or docufantasy, are eligible for a maximum amount of €250,000 per project. At least 85% of which must be made within the Basilicata region and must focus on enhancing the Lucanian landscape through the following narrative lines
- Lucania Dreamers – a land for dreaming
- Salus Per Aquam – life, strength, energy of water in territories and stories
- Energies of the earth – from subsoil to air, from wind to sun, the sources of Lucania’s heritage
- Carpe diem – timeless maxims from illustrious Lucanian voices from the past to the present day
The grant will be awarded in the form of a subsidy to reimburse part of the costs actually incurred to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, whether Italian or European.
