After the shutdown: what’s next for film & TV production?
Five European independent producers meet virtually to share experiences and discuss ways to get back on track and restart production. Insurances issues, talents availabilities, Covid-proof sets’ protocols and much more will be debated.
An overview of the existing emergency funds and the most urgent measures producers need to carry on will also be presented and discussed.

Marta Donzelli (Vivo Film, Italy)
In 2004 Marta Donzelli and Gregorio Paonessa founded Vivo film, an independent production company with a catalogue of films selected and awarded by the most prestigious festivals worldwide. Among them: Michelangelo Frammartino’s Le Quattro Volte (2010 Cannes Directors’ Fortnight); Emma Dante’s Via Castellana Bandiera (2013 Venice Film Festival Competition); Laura Bispuri’s Vergine Giurata and Figlia Mia (2015 and 2018 Berlinale Competition); Susanna Nicchiarelli’s Nico, 1988 (Best film of Orizzonti, 2017 Venice Film Festival); Abel Ferrara’s Siberia (2020 Berlinale Competition).
Jonas Dornbach (Komplizen Film, Germany)
From 2002 to 2009 Jonas has been the CEO of the film production company Kinoherz.
In 2010 he joined Komplizen Film as a producer, since 2014 as a shareholder and managing director.
He produced, among other films, Toni Erdmann by Maren Ade which (Cannes competition in 2016, nominated at the Oscars in the Foreign Film category), Western by Valeska Grisebach (Un Certain Regard, Cannes 2017), A Fantastic Woman by Sebastián Lelio (Oscar in 2018 for Best Foreign Film).
Jonas Dornbach is a member of the ACE Networks and EAVE, as well as of the German, European and BAFTA Film Academy.
Alexandra Lebret (European Producers Club)
Alexandra is the Managing Director of the European Producers Club and a Producer. Appointed in 2002, she has driven the EPC into a new era, and worked at transforming the association into the renowned actor it has become. Today, the EPC represents over 130 film and TV drama producers from all over Europe and Canada. It is the leading organisation of European Independent Producers in Europe and in the world and also a key interlocutor of the European Commission and several other players of the industry. In 2014 she founded the production companies MareNostrum Productions and Halley Production.
Alvaro Longoria (Morena Films, Spain)
Producer, director and currently President of the European Producers Club. He is a founding member of Morena Films in Spain. Over the last 20 years Morena has produced more than 80 feature films, documentaries and series. His latest movies as producer are Campeones by Javier Fesser and Everybody Knows by Asghar Farhadi and in 2019 he directed Sanctuary, a feature Documentary with Javier Bardem on the Greenpeace campaign to create a Marine Sanctuary in Antarctica that premiered at TIFF.
Also, recently he produced Diaries of the Quarantine for TVE. The first series shot within confinement.
Giannandrea Pecorelli (Aurora TV, Italy)
CEO of Banijay Group’s Aurora TV, Giannandrea has been active since the ‘80s as a film and tv producer and as a manager of leading companies (RCS Film and TV, Istituto Luce, Rai, Endemol, Sony International).
He has co-produced the film La Reine Margot (Palme d’Or for best actress), The Red Violin (Oscar for music in 2000) and Notte prima degli esami, one of the greatest Italian hits in recent years.
Aurora TV is a production company specialized in TV series and docufiction; among others, it produces the long tv series Ladies’ Paradise, broadcasted by RaiUno and now renewed for its fourth season.
Carole Scotta (Haut et Court, France)
Carole Scotta founded Haut et Court in 1992 the same year she won the Fondation Hachette prize as best young producer. In1997 Carole produced Ma Vie En Rose, her first feature film (Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film 1998). Over the past 25 years, films and series produced by Haut et Court have been selected and awarded at countless international film festivals: Palme d’Or for Entre les Murs by Laurent Cantet, International Emmy Award for the series The Returned by Fabrice Gobert. Carole has been copresident of the French Independent Distributor Syndicate DIRE since 2009.
