Close call between The Secret Life of Pets 2 and Aladdin for the No. 1 spot. Discover the whole ranking of the weekend from 6 to 9 June, 2019.
In its first weekend, The Secret Life of Pets 2 by Chris Renaud, is on the first step of the podium, earning € 1,034,245. Aladdin ranks as second, which gets € 1,002.333 (€ 13.054.863 in three weeks). Third place for Dark Phoenix which, at its debut, collects € 913.018.
The Traitor falls to fourth place, earning € 459,874, for a total revenue of three weeks to € 3,575,585. Fifth place for Godzilla – King of the Monsters, with € 391.592 (€ 1.696.709 of total revenue). Rocketman falls to sixth place, earning € 290.414 in his third weekend of projections for a total of € 1,217,986.
Two new entries follow: Polaroid by the Norwegian director Lars Klevberg is seventh with € 204,399 while A mano disarmata, a film directed by Claudio Bonivento about the journalist Federica Angeli’s story, earns € 141,551. Dolor y Gloria comes down to ninth place, recording € 111.703 in his fourth weekend (€ 2,819,645 in total). Finally, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum closes with € 44.341 and 3.130.584 from the debut.
Probably due to the summer weather, it was a disappointing weekend in terms of admissions and related earnings. In fact, only € 4.8 million were collected with a 26% decrease compared to the previous weekend. On the other hand, from January 1st of this year the box office registered a + 5.38% in comparison with the same period of 2018.
