The Directorate General for Cinema of the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities (MiBAC) nominated the Commissions for Cinematic and Audiovisual Promotion on June 7th, 2019. The Commissions will evaluate cinematic and audiovisual promotional activities and initiatives that request a financial contribution.
The Commissions will be in charge of assessing the projects under the MiBAC’s call for proposals destined to cinematic and audiovisual promotional activities and initiatives (Article 27 Law no. 220 of 2016). The call for proposal, consisting of the sections “Projects aimed at developing audiovisual culture”, “Film and audiovisual festivals, reviews and awards” and “Film archives’ activities”, specifies that a Commission nominated by the Directorate General for Cinema assesses the requests for financial contributions.
The General Director for Cinema Mario Turetta has appointed Rubens Piovano, Gianfranco Rinaldi, Guia Loffredo, Cristina Loglio and Alessandro Riva members of the Commission which will evaluate projects aimed at developing audiovisual culture, film and audiovisual festivals, reviews and awards. While the Commission composed of Francesco Ventura, Antonio Ferraro and Luca Legnani will assess film archives’ activities.
