At the opening ceremony of the 75th Venice International Film Festival, the Minister for Cultural Heritage and Activities Alberto Bonisoli has declared that Venice 75 is a record of which to be happy and proud.
“The films presented at the Venice Film Festival will certainly be part of an international film season between now and next year for the sole reason that they have been launched in Venice” declared Alberto Bonsoli. “And this underlines the importance of being here.” These are the statements of the Minister for Cultural Heritage and Activities, who arrived in Venice to participate at the opening ceremony and inauguration of the 75th. Venice International Film Festival.
“The Venice Film Festival” – continued the Minister – “is one of the main realities at international level. It is a record that we must be happy of, proud of and defend. The cinema”, he continued, “must be a mirror of reality; on the contrary, the more it makes us feel uncomfortable, the more it makes us reflect, the better it is. The city of Venice” – added Alberto Bonisoli – “is a particular city where the caliber, the type of artistic heritage and even the type of visibility that has the culture is unique in the world and deserves special attention from the Ministry.”
“The Fondazione Biennale di Venezia is a great reality in growth and as such must be valued, protected and helped by Mibac,” concluded the Minister. The presence of the Minister in Venice is a demonstration of the attention of the new Government towards the Italian audiovisual industry.
