Plenty of films which have participated to the last MIA Market editions have received several nominations for the “Nastri d’Argento” (Silver Ribbons) awards 2019. The appointement will take place in Ancient Theatre of Taormina Saturday, 29th June, 2019. The event is organized by the Sngci (Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists) with the support of Directorate General for Cinema of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and the collaboration, in Rome, of Lazio Region and, in Taormina, of Sicily Region.
We are talking about The Vice of Hope (Co-production Market and Pitching Forum|MIA 2017) with eight candidacies while The Champion (What’s Next Italy|MIA 2018) is in the contest with four nominations. The following movies are longing for one award each: Ovunque Proteggimi (What’s Next Italy|MIA 2017), Little Tito and the Aliens (What’s Next Italy|MIA 2016), Il grande spirito, Il corpo della sposa – Flesh Out, Bangla (What’s Next Italy|MIA 2018).
