Paola Cortellesi, Riccardo Milani and Paolo Del Brocco in the Power List 2018. All the most influential characters on the big screen.
The latest edition of the Power List of Italian cinema – produced by Box Office magazine in collaboration with Ciak – provides a snapshot of the situation in the sector. The podium of the Professionals section is dominated by Paolo Del Brocco, managing director of Rai Cinema, with a total of 18 Italian films distributed by the division 01 and 33.2 million euros cashed from August 2017 to the end of July 2018.
In second place we find Andrea Scrosati, Executive Vice President Programming of Sky Italia and president of Vision Distribution, and Nicola Maccanico, CEO of Vision. In one year, the company – founded by Sky together with Cattleya, IIF, Indiana, Palomar and Wildside – cashed €19 million with 12 films distributed, including Like a Cat on a Highway. In third place is Giampaolo Letta, vice president and managing director of Medusa Film.
Not wothout reason, in the first position of the Talents section of the Power List there are the actress Paola Cortellesi and the director Riccardo Milani. Follows Paolo Sorrentino and at the third place Luca Guadagnino, director of the movie Call Me by Your Name. There are also five other women in the ranking: Claudia Gerini (eleventh); Alba Rohrwacher and Alice Rohrwacher (fifteenth); Jasmine Trinca (sixteenth), awarded at Cannes for Fortunata and Valeria Golino (twenty-fifth).
