La Controfigura, Rä di Martino’s film debut starring Valeria Golino, Filippo Timi and Corrado Sassi, has received the Eurimages Lab Project Award at Karlovy Vary Film Festival. The film is a co-production between Italy, Switzerland and France and it is produced by Dugong Films together with Produzioni Illuminati, Between Art & Film (IT), Snaporaz Verein (CH) and Haut Le Mains (FR).
The movie tells the story of a film crew roaming the streets of Marrakesh to carry out on-the-spot inspections. Corrado, the lead actor’s double, faces a surreal identity crisis when real actors walk on the set, meanwhile none of the crew knows exactly what to do.
