“La Realtà che ‘NON’ esiste”: the launch of the sixth edition of the transmedia Contest

“La Realtà che ‘NON’ esiste” is a contest created in 2019 by producer Manuela Cacciamani and produced by One More Pictures with Rai Cinema. Now in its sixth edition, it aims to promote new forms of digital storytelling in a transmedia format: a narrative able to talk to teenagers and their families about the threats and opportunities of the web, social networks and new technologies for dissemination and training purposes.
 
The winning project is then produced by One More Pictures and Rai Cinema with a multiplatform launch. The objectives are many: to build an innovation laboratory at the service of social issues, to create a new production paradigm, to educate teenagers to the new digital worlds using the immediacy of cinematographic language and to provide a new opportunity for young filmmakers under 35.
 
The first edition was held in 2019 with the aim of promoting the creators’ new forms of digital storytelling in transmedia format.
The theme of the fifth edition was “Sextortion”, extortion and sexual blackmail through social networks and Internet.
 
The contents produced for the winning projects of the previous editions obtained excellent results on the social channels of Rai, Media Partners and talents: over 24.6 million people reached, over 2.2 million social interactions and more than 20.2 million views. All the projects have been published in linear and transmedia version on RaiPlay and on the Rai Cinema Channel VR app.
