Kevin is the Global Co-Head of Acquisitions at MUBI, a global streaming service, production company, and film distributor dedicated to elevating great cinema. Based in London, Kevin joined the company in 2019 with a mandate to reshape its acquisitions strategy and kickstart its new film acquisitions efforts across multiple territories, including UK and US theatrical releases. Since then, MUBI has emerged as a prominent buyer in the independent film sector in both established and emerging markets worldwide.
Kevin and his colleagues have an impressive track record of acquiring critically acclaimed and commercially successful UK and international productions, many of which have garnered accolades such as Oscar and BAFTA nominations and wins. Some notable titles include Ben Sharrock’s Limbo, Celine Sciamma’s Petite Maman, Park Chan-wook’s Decision to Leave, Joachim Trier’s The Worst Person in the World, Lukas Dhont’s Close, and Charlotte Wells’ BAFTA-winning Aftersun. Kevin also oversaw the acquisition of MUBI’s first-ever TV series, Lars von Trier’s The Kingdom Exodus.
Prior to joining MUBI, Kevin led the acquisitions department at Thunderbird Releasing, also known as Soda Pictures, where he successfully acquired films such as Hirokazu Kore-eda’s Palme d’Or-winning Shoplifters, Claire Denis’ High Life, Lee Chang-dong’s Burning, and numerous others.
