South By Soutwes (SXSW) celebrates raw innovation and emerging talent both behind and in front of the camera. In the Festival’s program there’s also Tales from the Lodge by Abigail Blackmore, presented at C EU Soon | MIA Market 2018.
The SXSW Film Festival (8-17 March 2019) features a wide variety of films: dramas, documentaries, comedies and more. This year’s selection also includes Abigail Blackmore’s Tales from the Lodge, presented at C EU Soon | MIA Market 2018. The film produced by Hook Pictures tells of an isolated shelter in England, where five old university pals, now nudging 40, gather for a weekend to scatter the ashes of their friend, Jonesy, who drowned himself in the lake three years earlier. They settle in for a fun evening, entertaining each other with stories of murders, ghosts, zombies and possessions, but as day turns to night, the gang become aware of another horror story unfolding around them.
