News on the horizon for the TaoFilmFest. The Sicilian film exhibition that this year will come to its 64th edition could change the dates of his programming. It goes from the month of June to the next, bringing the cinema to Taormina from 14th to 21st July 2018.
The locations of the Festival will be the Ancient Theater together with Palazzo dei Congressi, as confirmed by the Mayor of Taormina, Eligio Giardina. A turning point for the culture of the city for the devolopment of the Film Festival together with the launch of the Taormina Arte Foundation, which by the end of the month could already enjoy the conferment of assets.
With the change of course on the dates of the TaoFilmFest, the possibility of the competitive bid for the organization is unveiled, hard to realize if the event was in June. Precisely for this reason, the Region of Sicily would like to call for a new tender with more rapid timelines even compared to the last edition of the Festival. More details on the event could also come in the next few days by Governor Nello Musumeci who is also working on the Taormina Arte Foundation, together with the Tourism Councilor Sandro Pappalardo.
