Biennale College Cinema, the Biennale di Venezia’s advanced training workshop, is moving towards its twelfth edition and is opening the call for emerging filmmakers for the development and production of micro-budget feature films to be presented at the Venice International Film Festival.
The call, which expires on 3 July, is available on the Biennale’s website and is open to teams of directors, associated with producers who have at least three completed audiovisual films, or a feature-length fiction film, or a documentary distributed or presented at festivals, from all over the world.
From the applications received, nine micro-budget projects will be selected, plus three projects selected from the Italian call for proposals, which was launched in February and closed on 12 April.
The announcement of all 12 selected projects will take place during the Venice Film Festival (30 August – 9 September).
Since 2012, the lab has made 34 feature films (for no more than €200,000 each), promoting new talents who have established themselves in national and international contexts. For further information and to consult the call for entries, click here.
