The 53rd edition of Giffoni Film Festival returns July 20-29, confirming it as the most anticipated summer film event dedicated to children and young people.
Opening the festival is Claudio Bisio’s directorial debut film entitled L’ultima volta che siamo stati bambini.
Also among the most anticipated premieres is Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, which will be presented on July 25.
In this edition there are 150 entries in competition, 50 out-of-competition entries. The themes addressed look at the younger generation: social networks, love of the environment, parent-child relationships.
From July 20 to 29, jurors will be able to meet some of the most interesting and talented names from the world of cinema and entertainment. Highly anticipated are the appointments with Carlo Verdone, dedicated to the second season of Vita da Carlo, and international stars Matt Smith, known from the HBO series House of the Dragon and Asa Butterfield from Sex Education.
