Lucca Comics & Games is back until November 5. The theme of this 2023 edition is ‘Together’, being together through a program full of events that, in addition to comics, talk about cinema, music, cosplay and gaming.
From the Cosplay Garden, a gathering place for cosplayers, anime and/or video game characters, a visit to the fair begins by going through the pavilions dedicated to video games, such as the Nintendo pavilion and the Sonic pavilion, which offers an experiential path to learn about the iconic blue hedgehog and celebrate the launch of the latest video game in the franchise.
Among the most anticipated guests are French director Michel Gondry, author of Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, who will meet the public for a masterclass; Japanese comic book artist Masaaki Ninomiya, author of Gannibal, who will meet the public to draw live; and singer Max Pezzali, who will present the limited edition comic book inspired by him, illustrated and scripted by Roberto Recchioni. Actor and comedian Fabio De Luigi, will also be at the fair to introduce his new Prime Video series, Amazing Fabio De Luigi.
At the Astra Cinema, a preview screening of the first episode of All the Light We Can’t See, the Netflix miniseries based on Anthony Doerr’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, directed by Stranger Things’ Shawn Levy and starring Mark Ruffalo.
