The new call for film and audiovisual promotion published by the DGCA, is open from April 27 to May 16, 2023 through the DGCOL platform.
The news present in the call for proposals differentiate it from last year’s, especially in terms of the introduction of so-called premiums (up to 5 points), awarded to projects that will adopt green protocols, certified at the reporting stage. This, together with the possibility by the experts in charge (who will choose the projects to be financed and the amount of the grant to be disbursed) to conduct hearings or preliminary meetings with the heads of other agencies and public administrations of similar calls or support measures for greater coordination of support activities between the national and territorial levels.
The allocation of 11.6 million euros in support of the industry will be divided into the realization of festivals, reviews and awards of national importance (7 million euros), development of film and audiovisual culture in Italy, promotion of the internationalization, including for tourism purposes, of Italy’s image through cinema and audiovisuals (3.1 million) and activities for the acquisition, preservation, cataloging, restoration, study, research and enhancement of film heritage carried out by film libraries (1.5 million).
