Spanish Screenings on Tour, one of the main initiatives of Spanish Screenings XXL, part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan to strengthen Spain’s role as Europe’s audiovisual hub, has chosen MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo for its second edition. Spanish Screenings on Tour is the hands-on version of Spanish Screenings XXL. An international market for Spanish audiovisual production, designed to boost and open new international opportunities for the Spanish audiovisual industry. The initiative travels to strategic territories where it conducts actions focused on the sale and promotion of Spanish audiovisuals. The project is promoted by the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sport through ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, the Malaga Festival and the San Sebastian Festival.
At MIA, Spanish Screenings on Tour 2023 will present Spanish productions at different stages: Spanish Screenings Showcase for projects in development; WIP for those in post-production; Market Premieres for completed films; and Next from Spain-Comin’UP for trailers or teasers. Finally, films with the potential to sell remake rights will have their space at the Remake Day.
